Chelf's Career Day Leads OSU Past Baylor 49-17

This is huge in the college football world.

Clint Chelf's latest career day against Baylor sent another shockwave through the top of the BCS standings, and put Oklahoma State within reach of a Big 12 Conference championship in the process.

The Oklahoma State (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) quarterback passed for a career-high 370 yards and accounted for four touchdowns as the No. 11 Cowboys dismantled the No. 3 Bears 49-17 Saturday night.

Chelf, who was 19 of 25 passing, has thrown for 703 yards in his last two games against Baylor (9-1, 6-1) — including last year's 41-34 loss in Waco. His latest performance came in a win, a crushing one that delighted the record crowd of 60,218 in Boone Pickens Stadium.

"I couldn't be more proud of what he's accomplished," Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said. "He's been a good leader and he does it quiet. He's been humbled, and for that he's had success."

the best running back in college football ..... end of story.

FSU is not going to lose to Florida or to ??? in the ACC championship
so we need Auburn or Missouri to beat Alabama to get into the
championship game.

Andre Williams from BC rushed for 2000 yards this season. That leaves the argument very much open.

he has hit 1,000 + yds after missing the first 3 games, spitting
time with other running backs, and in many games he has been
sitting out much of the 2nd half because the games were blow outs.

The man is a freaking beast I have been watching Ohio State F-ball
for years and only Keith Byars and Eddie George are in his class.

Hyde is very good. However, to summarily declare him the best is debatable.
He is certainly in the mix, but not 1st by consensus.

BTW The Shoe isn't the center of the College football universe.

In addition, you better hope Urban isn't up to his old Florida tricks. If he is, you'll see a string of arrests showing up in the papers. He is recruiting a lot in SEC territory and it ain't for the faint of heart. He better have a good support program for his players. Good schools do not only for the program's sake but for the player's benefit too.

BTW Urban has had a very strict "no crap" policy for his players since he has come to OSU.

Right now with the offensive line they have, Braxton Miller, Hyde, and their defense
OSU could play w/anybody in the country.

I appreciate its entertainment value but the greedheads are fucking it up.

Conference realignment fueled by football has completely destroyed Big East basketball and nearly ruined ACC hoops, two of my favorite sporting things.

The absolutely abysmal way they treat their workers while the coaches make millions is becoming difficult for me to overlook.

But that's just my not so humble opinion.

I think some changes were necessary. However, the wholesale changes ruined many old and special rivalries.

Not one smug ass sports writer that I saw gave OSU a chance, Baylor came into the game a 10 point favorite. I love the smell of burning hubris in the morning
