(4,305 posts)It was supposed to be an informal conversation with a small group. It went something like this: She said politely that she did have a question for him. He answered rudely that he wasn't there to answer her questions. Boy, did we ever dodge a bullet that time!

I was lucky enough to catch President Obama's speech yesterday, with this moment. Obama was fantastic here! Imagine how differently such a moment might have turned out if that 2012 election had gone the other way? Or even that 2008 election? This guy knows how to manage, and he never loses his cool. Or his control. Or his courtesy.
Maybe even THESE GOONS can see how brilliantly President Obama handled that heckler, turning his outburst into one of the most positive moments of that speech. Maybe it is beginning to dawn on them that their fantasies about this President may have a fatal flaw?

(15,682 posts)my daughter and I ran out for a bite to eat. The radio was on a talk station and guess what they played? The audio of the heckler - right up to the point where he was screaming the loudest over the president. They went on to criticize the president for everything from healthcare to Iran.
But, no, they never got around to playing the wonderful part where the president calmly and kindly spoke to the young man. Of course not.

(12,504 posts)during the Olympics he went on a full ride swearing tirade against a volunteer because his important self wasn't able to get up a canyon due to avalanche control. It made pretty big news at the time.
