Happy Thanksgiving DU!

Grammy & MeMe are making the green beans,

mr pete & i put the Turkey in the oven at 10:30 a.m. pst (even though 1/2 of us are now vegetarians)

the potatoes are boiling, the cranberry sauce is chilling and the yams are soaking in brown sugar and orange jucice...

We had a small one with our son and his bride, and it was delicious -- minus turkey. I brought my yam dish and homemade cranberry relish. Part of me is sorry to not have turkey, but all of me is thankful for the family feeling.

Back from when I used to do the big dinner, I know what you mean about having half of the clan be vegetarians, but really it's not a problem as long as they are lacto-ovo vegetarians and not strict vegans, because there are so many side-dishes.
