George Zimmerman Stiffs Bodyguards, Mark O'Mara, Shellie Zimmerman Forced To Pay Off $27,000 Bill

<CMR Associates, the bodyguard company that named George Zimmerman and lead Trayvon Martin trial attorney Mark O'Mara as plaintiffs for non payment of $27,000 for unpaid services, has settled the suit without Zimmerman making good on any payments.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the company formally settled the suit on Nov. 22 after O'Mara and Zimmerman's estranged wife, Shellie, stepped forward to pay off a combined $30,000. CMR executive Chris Rumbaugh told the newspaper that even though Zimmerman refused to settle the suit or make any payments toward the balance, the company would also cease to continue any legal action against him.

A self-appointed neighborhood watch commander, Zimmerman was acquitted in Florida last July of second-degree murder for killing of the unarmed 17-year-old Martin near the gated home of his father where he was temporarily residing.

After the shooting, Zimmerman went into hiding and hired CMR to provide around-the-clock protection. "I'm very professional," Rumbaugh told The Sentinel. "I did a very professional job. Nothing happened to them while they were under my watch."

The 30-year-old Zimmerman is currently free on bail, accused of threatening his girlfriend with a shotgun and shoving her, according to the newspaper. In paperwork he filed with Seminole County authorities last month, he described himself as indigent and facing $2.5 million in bills from his criminal defense attorneys.>
