A 2-year-old gray tabby cat from Kansas who has been missing in Omaha for nearly a month has been reunited with his family.
Jane Gaston of Overland Park, Kan., said the cat, Jackson, jumped out of a window in her car on Nov. 10 near 90th Street and West Dodge Road. Gaston is in Omaha while her husband, Pat, recovers from a traumatic brain injury he suffered in a motor scooter accident in Overland Park, Kan.
Jackson was found by a Trula (Bachman) and I can't thank her enough, Gaston said. The vet said he is in really good shape, but he will probably lose the tip of his (left) ear because of frostbite.
Gaston said Bachman spied a cat she thought was Jackson near 89th and Jones Streets after seeing a photo of him in The World-Herald. She left some food out and he turned up Monday night.
