Mandela's death shows Republican hypocrisy on violence

The second most common slam of Mandela by right wingers after being a communist is that the ANC committed acts of violence.

Aren't these the same people that support military as a FIRST resort, the death penalty for as many crimes and people as possible, and even the legal use of deadly force when you feel frightened by a black person?

I think we already saw their hypocrisy on stand your ground with the case of that black woman who fired a warning shot and got 20 years in Florida around the same time George Zimmerman got off, but this is further confirmation that they only like violence by and for the benefit of THEM.

It could also be that at heart they are profound cowards, just like Mitt Romney who was brave when it came to beating up a single gay kid when he was backed up by a whole gang, but was too chickenshit to fight in Vietnam.

They are a lynch mob that hates the idea of their victims being able to fight back, and runs screaming to their mama when they do.

i'm just too disgusted seeing the comments and hypocrisy from these idiots.

they refuse to acknowledge that blacks and others of color were not equal citizens. and they even try to claim things were better off then.

they should just come out and admit to being white supremacists.

2. Good point, Repukes were all gungho to go kill Iraqis

after the FUD scare of drones flying over our air space (as if that was even possible) and poisoning our water supply.

IOW, they didn't even need a rational reason to go to war in Iraq...just that Dubya wanted it and Repukes LOVE THEM SOME DEATH. He tried to get Poppy (false). But you know when someone other than a skin color of 'chalky white' or political persuasion in the R column does it - terrorist, rebels, outlaws, pirates, etc..

Repukes are a living, breathing joke. They love to make war and hate the peace.

Violence for their cause is for peace, freedom and democracy - all other violence is terrorism.
They actually believe this.

5. I agree on the republican hypocrisy, but that case of the Florida woman is hardly comparable.

She left the house, retrieved a firearm from her car, went back into the house, and then discharged it. And she did so in a fashion that suggested she didn't likely feel her life was in serious danger, thus warranting the use of deadly force. I agree that her sentence is COMPLETELY insane, but what she did was wrong from a legal standpoint for sure.
