They might get a few and , from their perspective, it's better spent that way than singing to the choir.

Does having guns make you safer or more vulnerable. And something about supporting the Second Amendment. Was a pretty slick ad. But obvious.

If so, the tubular mag looks peculiar. Perhaps the upper barrel band has been removed to improve accuracy. More importantly, is her view on guns evolving as a result of her SO's influence?

despite her hate for the NRA

She's America's leading lefty wonk, complete with chunky glasses, Ph.D., and a deep faith in activist government. But Rachel Maddow is also, a little unexpectedly, totally into guns. Which is how come she ended up at the Westside Pistol & Rifle Range in Manhattan for a recent Rolling Stone photo shoot. (Maddow is profiled by Ben Wallace-Wells in the current issue of the magazine.) "I used to bring my radio producers," she says in this clip. "Everyone here's really nice."

The ad said 2 million lives are saved by guns every year. WTF??

That is the lowest estimate of 3 or 4 studies of the number of defensive gun uses...the LA Times estimate iirc. .of coarse not all defensive gun uses would have ended in death without the defensive gun..

they'd want to pay to air a pro-gun ad on a network that mostly people who are in favor of gun control watch, but whatever. I'm not one for giving RWers advice, but if I were in charge of paying for the ads, I would've arranged it to where they'd air on another network like CBS or CNN, who many people still see as less biased and/or middle of the road.
