Bryan Fischer: "The Constitution is only for us Kriss-chuns..."

Fischer: 'Our Constitution Protects The Free Exercise Of The Christian Religion'

Submitted by Kyle Mantyla on Wednesday, 12/11/2013 10:19 am

On his radio broadcast yesterday, Bryan Fischer spent two segments laying out his argument that, when the founders of this nation used the word "religion," what they really meant was "Christianity." As such, authorities in Oklahoma have every right to reject an effort by Satanists to erect a monument outside the Oklahoma Capitol building next to a monument of the Ten Commandments, Fischer said, because the Constitution's guarantee of the free exercise of religion was never intended to protect anything other than Christianity.

That this guy can be so ignorant and still function, or that people actually pay him to spread such stupidity.

I guess I should point out that this country has a precedent for limiting the words of the Constitution to only apply to some folks, while not others.

Funny though ... it's the same group that made the same argument.

that the worst wars are perpetrated by two or more factions of the same general religion.

Some of the worst wars in European history involved the Catholics vs the Protestants. Currently, the Muslims are experiencing the same thing with their Sunni/Shia split. The common thread there is that the religions were 'nationalized' to the extent that people identified with the church as a source of political power.

The supreme irony of the whole Jewish/Christian/Muslim conflict over the ages is that all three religions basically worship the same fucking god.

Millions have died for this.

They need to start reading the whole document and applying that to their lives instead of just picking and choosing what selected portions they wish to live by. According to them, the Bill of Rights only consists of the 2nd Amendment, the bible is limited to the parts that tell them it's ok to hate the poor and those that look different...
