Fox News host Brian Kilmeade asserted on Wednesday that the U.S. invasion had turned Iraq into a “great place” until troops were ordered to withdraw in 2011.

“Are you disturbed where we’re at with the country you worked so hard to liberate?” he wondered.

“When we left there it was in a really good place,” Odierno remarked.

“It was a great place!” Kilmeade interrupted.

“It is concerning when we watch the violence grow inside of Iraq,” the general said.

2. Yeah, it's a shame we don't have thousands of American kids as targets there anymore.

Is there one--ONE--non-military or non-neocon person who is sad that we're not still in that shithole? I think this sort of stuff is meant to pressure Obama into staying in Afghanistan--paint his pullout of Iraq as a failure instead of the prudent decision it was.

You could walk the streets safely at night. Women could drive... alone. Teach in the universities. Be doctors, CEO's.
They had a World Class museum, with artifacts dating back to over 10,000 years. Baghdad was the medical center of the Middle East.
Our government destroyed all that, so the oil companies could steal their oil. The costs in lives, money and history are incalculable.
Just because the Iraqi government kicked our military out, does not mean we are still not there. We left behind our mercenary army to keep an eye on things.

think 'murika left Iraq a great place. Surely these are some of the most absurd words ever uttered by a right-wing fuck-tard/fuck-wad/bastard-rat.
