President Obama shakes hands with President Castro at Mandela service. Right wing has memory lapse
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/12/10/1261625/-President-Obama-shakes-hands-with-President-Castro-at-Mandela-service-Right-wing-has-memory-lapse
At a memorial service for Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg Tuesday, President Barack Obama said:
It took a man like Madiba to free not just the prisoner, but the jailer as well, to show that you must trust others so that they may trust you; to teach that reconciliation is not a matter of ignoring a cruel past, but a means of confronting it with inclusion and generosity and truth. He changed laws, but he also changed hearts.
But Martha MacCallum hints that Foxaganda is not happy that Obama shook hands with Cuban President Raúl Castro .........
...shaking hands and otherwise making nice with dictators is, of course something that Republicans would never, ever do.

(32,139 posts)6. Faux news.
The media stokes these contrived, irrelevant partisan feuds to keep us divided, while assiduously avoiding the bipartisan corruption of our political system and its ravaging of America.
The corporate mediasphere emotes over a handshake, while ignoring the surveillance state, the looming TPP, the escalating poverty and despair.

In today's world, we are the media too, and we are better at it than they are. Media is the new democracy where we choose what to view AND what to say.

(44,228 posts)9. The Bush-Noriega pic is a really bad photoshop...
Noriega has been cut, flipped and put in under Bush's arm. They even (badly) filled in his right elbow, and gave him legs in black pants.
