Most likely it was Aramaic, later translated into Hebrew, Greek, etc.

And it's just nuts.

I do believe in Christ, but to say that he was what we would recognize as White is silly.

This reconstruction is based on the area, ethnicity, and genetics at work at the time. Picture is from a Time Mag issue about what Jesus was really like as opposed to the white blue-eyed European versions, you know - that hangs in 9 out of 10 homes above grammy's bed.

What strikes me is that this guy probably would be denied country club admittance today.

1. Being a former corporate lawyer and likely having no shred of ethics Kelly probably is just saying whatever it takes to get paid even if she has to check her brain at the door every morning.

2. Kelly actually believes what she's saying thereby making her about as low-wattage as the average FOX viewer's IQ.

The holiday spirit wants to allow me to believe it's number 1 because nobody who is as sharp as Kelly supposedly is can really be that dumb. Outside of Hannity and the FOX and Friends bozos I have a hard time believing most of the people on FOX actually subscribe to the clap-trap they peddle.

18. "Whites" aren't always white

Even the palest Nordic Caucasians are really pinkish-beige.

In defining race, the 2010 US Census included all people:

"having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa. It includes people who indicated their race(s) as “White” or reported entries such as Irish, German, Italian, Lebanese, Arab, Moroccan, or Caucasian."

http://www.census.gov/prod/cen2010/briefs/c2010br-02.pdf (page 3)

Was Jesus form Norway? Nah, I don't think so. If he existed, he looked less like Thor and more like Alladin. There are a wide range of skin tones for "White" people. Perhaps we would be better off defining people by their favorite color, or maybe by the color of the upholstery in the family car? Either choice has as much value (if not more) than the roughly mixed genetics that determines the color of only the outermost 1 mm (give or take 1/2 of a mm) of the human body.

And if you counter, "Well...Jesus was really God, and heaven is white, so Jesus must be white." Then please tell me why Angels are yellow

Uhm hummm. That's what I thought....

There is no *proof* that he existed, but if he did he was a Jew typical of his region.

Is that a "white man"? It's not like "white man" is a well defined category. On the US census he would be listed as white/caucasian,

He was certainly not nordic, but just as certainly not what we today would call African or Asian.

Jesus would have had trouble getting on an airplane. He would have looked very middle-eastern.

As for what Megan Kelly thinks about anything... she's an idiot.

Most historians accept this as there are extra-biblical sources pointing to this. Plus, it would be pretty far fetched if such an influential religion could pop out of literally nowhere.

So there was a man named Yeshua who was born, preached and was crucified. Whether or not he performed miracles and raised from the dead is another thing altogether.

But what strikes me is that if he were as white as many people think he was, wouldn't he stick out as a sore thumb? It's really quite laughable.

There is a lot of reason to think that he did exist as an historical figure. I think he existed.
