Fox News Megyn Kelly To Return To Show, Address Santa Claus/Jesus Controversy Tonight:
Fox News Channels Megyn Kelly will return to her show tonight, and will address the media drubbing shes taken after asserting, on her primetime program, that Santa Claus and Jesus Christ were white.
A perfect storm of media/late-night comic panning hailed down in response, coming as it did on the heels of her debut Tonight show appearance, in which she told host Jay Leno, I am a straight news anchor I am not one of the Opinion Hosts at Fox and a long, loving Washington Post profile, in which she was described as a queen, a melange of Grace Kelly and Barbara Stanwyck, and a break in the clouds, an interlude of lucidity sandwiched between Bill OReilly and Sean Hannity, admitted opinionators who specialize, respectively, in cantankerousness and mongering.

(60,349 posts)A news anchor is someone that reports news.
FOX News anchors only report FOX News or Fox Facts which is neither news or facts.

On edit: I wonder how many of them are the fake bloggers that NewsCorp pays to post pro-Fox News comments?

(50,573 posts)I watch MeTV a lot, and they run promos for Stanwyck's show The Big Valley. They dress her way too glamorously for the part she's playing, just as the Fox News eye candy is dressed way too glamorously for reading news.
The other easy comparison is her political views. Barbara Stanwyck was a teabagger fifty years before we had teabaggers. Her belief was if SHE could rise from humble beginnings to fame and riches without government assistance, anyone else could. She leaves out the part about most people not having the looks, voice and acting talent needed to sell movie tickets and draw television advertisers. She loved Ayn Rand and hated FDR.

(10,893 posts)I could be wrong, but no real straight news anchor would cover such trivial topics like the racial background of Jesus and Santa. And even when she was pushing the story about the supposed "New Black Panther Party", it was extremely strange how they were the only network to cover it. None of the other alphabet soup news channels would touch that story with a 10-foot pole because they all knew it was BS. Every time she and Hannity would discuss the NBPP, it was always the same 2-3 dudes.
