Whatever the intertube drama du jour, don't forget the joys of family and loved ones. Whether you celebrate a holiday this year or not, remember to be thankful for what we do have in life. Honor your friends, family, both human and furry, and celebrate.
As a woman, I celebrate my sisters--by both birth and struggle--my friends, and the men who value us. I invite others to do the same.

(and very handsome too). I can't resist a man with a commitment to social justice.
That means the world to me.
Also I would add that years of experience around here have taught me not to take the intertube drama DU jour too seriously- because it is a mathematical near-certainty that next week, there'll be a new one... and so on, and so on, probably until the sun burns out.
So with that in mind: 
5-1 is not much better.
i'm rather enjoying all the music, myself. i like Patti Smith, too. 
and lost both in dramatic fashion in game 7 to KC Royals and Minnesota Twins.
The next time they finally made it to the World Series was 2004 when they were swept by the Red Sox to break their long streak.
Finally, Cardinals broke through and won another in 2006 and then won the 2011 world series. They then lost the World Series to Boston again this year.
Yeah, I'm a bit of a fan! 
I have a soft spot for jangly guitars.
Almost died but, didn't. Work was a bumpy ride after that. This year was a turn around year for me.
