If we elect a white Democratic President in 2016

There will be much more bipartisanship and cooperation from the likes of Boehner, Cruz, and other Republicans, since the main reason they dislike Obama is racism.

There will be a little more bipartisanship from the Republicans; while their opposition is partly driven by racism, it's mostly that Obama is a Democrat.

I don't expect to see any more bipartisanship whatsoever from the Republicans. The only thing that matters is that he's a Democrat. They impeached Bill Clinton, after all.

As they won't have the existential panic of having their racism challenged. We will not get a filibuster over every single thing. They will find an excuse for that, claiming Obama was just more of a Marxist than New Dem President or something along those lines, an argument probably easily trashed.

Arguably, the Clintons had it even worse than the Obamas. Their race may not have been an issue, but he was considered a Marxist redneck and she was called a lesbian who had her (male) lover killed ( ). At least the Obamas haven't had a special prosecutor after them for 5 years. He hasn't been impeached and she hasn't been dragged in front of a grand jury. They also haven't been left in deep debt due to their legal bills. Ditto for their staffers (total debt was $14M, which Bill paid when he was out of office and made enough money to do so).

If that is what you mean then possibly but clearly they are pretty fucking despicable anytime a Democrat of any stripe is in office.

Imagine their reaction to an actual liberal. Carter, Clinton, and Obama are no leftist hardliners, Carter existing in a near mutiny inside the party because he was so conservative and some might argue him to be the most liberal of the three.

The important take away should be that there is no meeting the TeaPubliKlans halfway, every step toward them only radicalism them and drives them to further depths of reactionary delusion and that halfway point becomes a worse place by the day and worse has become and end purely of its self.

The level of disrespect has reached new highs and dialogue has reached new lows under President Obama, but the obstruction will continue under any Democratic President. Say what you will about Hillary, but there really is a vast, right-wing conspiracy.

A lot of Republicans know they are beholden to the Tea Party and know cooperating with Obama will destroy them with the Tea Party. And the Tea Party hates Obama largely because he's black.

So I think racism plays a large part but maybe more indirectly than you're allowing for in your poll.
