2. Glad to see some exposure over there.

I guess what really gets me is the way we Americans can shrug off such horrendous acts with hardly a hesitation.

3. It doesn't surprise me that Bush supporters brush these tragedies off, I remember trying to

argue with them about crimes being committed by our government, weddings being bombed etc. And at that time most Democrats were outraged by what was being done in our names. Which gave me hope that at least half the country did not dismiss the crimes.

But lately, it seems a sort of apathy has taken hold of the once vibrant, anti-war left which makes me feel hopeless now that we can ever stop these crimes.

5. I fear Americans are demoralized by the ever expanding list of attrocities and injustices

that can not seem to be controlled. Drone murders, Wall Street run amok, Gitmo still open, NSA spying, fracking, corporate money buying candidates and policy, Nuclear radiation, oil spills and general rampant greed paired with growing poverty.

6. And no one ever held accountable for any of it. We had hope at one time that our system would work

if elected Democrats. There are a few like Wyden eg, who have tried, but they don't get much support from their colleagues.

So much hope, back in 2007. But we have moved forward since then.
