Had to Share: LTR to Sen. Menendez

I find it disingenuous to sabotage a long sought diffusion of tensions in the ME, forged with a comprehensive sanctions regime against Iran -that many non-NJ residence say, I'm sure, don't go far enough... (And I'm also sure that those of whom we speak wouldn't be satisfied until they dance to Beach Boy "sing alongs" with Senator McCain)- while not doing the same about Saudi Arabia.

I don't remember Iran murdering 3000 Americans on their way to work. And it's not like they're pretending to like us, or be our allies.

Leaders should fight for their countries, and that is what I expect of my party, of those I vote for. Cowboy diplomacy was the failure of Bush and the Republicans. When Khatami offered diplomatic relations, Bush spit in his face. That lead directly to Ahmadinejad.

If you spit in the face of Rouhani (which is exactly what you are doing) who will follow him, and will you be sending our families back into the hell of war again? Because that's not fighting for your constituents, that's making your constituents fight for hire.

Please rescind this bill and give diplomacy a chance. That is all the response I need.

I was looking for a tone for my letter Sen. Menendez. I think I'll try and keep this going.

I don't usually shout at the TV, but I did at Menendez. He is throwing away the best chance for peace in the Middle East and a good and lasting diplomatic accord. Is he out of his FREAKING MIND?

Harry Reid is my senior senator. He's going to hear from me. This can NOT be brought to a vote. It's insane.
