Pop-up surveys

Has anyone being getting pop-ups saying 'take this survey' at various websites? I've been getting them all day (including at DU). I've run a couple of anti-virus and spyware scans but they're still happening. The surveys want you to answer three or so questions and then you choose from several prizes for your efforts.

1. Ghostery might help

I had one nasty popup burrow its way into my add ons with Firefox. Fortunately, Firefox being a fairly transparent program, it was easy to find and eradicate.

Another thing you can do is change browsers while you're searching for the source.

However, Ghostery is great. It eliminates a huge amount of trash as well as web tracking.

ETA: there are instructions out there at multiple sites, just look for "take this survey virus." I guess there are a lot of people who've gotten this annoying POS on their machines.
