Since I don't see it as a religious holiday, I don't dread implications. A native friend told me: freshwest Dec 2013 #9

Kindness, compassion and a sense of community should be our focus every day. Not just on Judeo-Christian holidays.

Nothing says 'Merry Christmas' like supercilious superiority.

a day like this can also point out to someone the gross hypocrisy of many religions and religious people. And how the central tenet of a religion is ignored in favor of hatred and inhumanity.
It is also a sad and lonely day for some people. And telling them they should be celebrating and seeing the world in a better light is more depressing.

Not every day is a great day.

But every day is a good day.

Meaning, everyday you're alive is a gift no matter how bad it feels.

Memories of people and places made me weep last night, wishing I could relive those days.

It's weird… you know the end of something great is coming, but you wanna hold on, just for one more second… just so it can hurt a little more.

Trash Thread and Ignore whoever is upsetting you. Give yourself a good day, no one elso can give it to you.
