I was 7, it was the first "45" I ever bought with my allowance $$.
Many years later the entire "45" collection (all 60's) of my brother and myself was stolen from his car kinda like Mom throwing away your baseball cards but worse!

My son, when he was 8-9 or so, asked me, with all seriousness ( this had to be in '76)
"Mom,were you around before the Beatles"?

I looked at him and told him in a very serious tone.."I was around before Elvis!"

and his eyes became enormous.

It's not worth anything because they sold millions of them. 50 years ago, the girls next door who baby sat us came running over to tell us the Beatles were coming to Olympia Stadium. They were combing our hair down onto our faces. We didn't know who the Beatles were.

a Lloyds' Center (Portland, OR) record shop on my desk during 9th grade math class.

I had already heard both songs but didn't know much about the band. This flyer had their biogs
and more about their recordings.

Then she said.."That one, John is married"…and I said. "Says here that George Harrison is 19 years old."

Show appearance. Should be great-but bittersweet considering the passage of time. I remember Beatlemania well.

I saw them perform at Dodger Stadium--with Bobby Hebb and the Ronettes opening. My ticket may have set me back as much as a whole six bucks.
