(17,796 posts)I find very easy to dislike walmart.

(68,644 posts)And I don't really have a problem if they, or any other store doesn't want to sell an album with misleading lyrics:
"children kill each other with a gun they bought at Wal-Mart".... Well, I don't think they can sell to children.
I don't need another reason to boycott WalMart.
They way they abuse their employees is reason enough.
The way they strategically shut out existing businesses in a city where they want to expand is another.
The gun thing doesn't bother me at all, why shouldn't they be allowed to sell guns?

(35,287 posts)It's ridiculous to take the lyrics so literally
To suggest that had they been re-written Wal-Mart would have not banned the CD is wrong
Wal-Mart didn't ban it because it was inaccurate
They banned it because it attacks their brand

Your attempt to poison the well failed.

(54,770 posts)And Obama has spoken out against gun fanciers clinging to their gunz. Plenty more feel the same way, they just realize the gun fanciers and their lobbyists like Grover Norquist own Congress.

(39,909 posts)Every single one of the above I mentioned,
and the vast majority of the Democratic Party agrees that WalMart should have the right to sell guns.
Gun Love is a whole different issue,
and if you would like to discuss THAT,
you can start a new thread.

(39,909 posts)"If you grew up and your dad gave you a hunting rifle when you were 10, and you went out and spent the day with him and your uncles, and that became part of your family's traditions, you can see why you'd be pretty protective of that," Obama said in an interview with The New Republic magazine published on Sunday on its website.
snip:
"Part of being able to move this forward is understanding the reality of guns in urban areas are very different from the realities of guns in rural areas," Obama said.
"So it's trying to bridge those gaps that I think is going to be part of the biggest task over the next several months. And that means that advocates of gun control have to do a little more listening than they do sometimes," he said.

So you lose again.
Are you suffering from the extreme misconception that everyone who buys a gun a Walmart is a gun nut?
If so, you need to get out more often.

(54,770 posts)Unless you consider Zimmerman's shot gun useful for game birds.
bvar22
(39,909 posts)Did Zimmerman buy his handgun at a WalMart?
No, because WalMart doesn't sell handguns.
Again, The ISSUE we are discussing is the right of Walmart to sell guns.
Most of which have a direct hunting application.
I believe you have to go to Alaska to find a Walmart that sells handguns.
I much prefer WalMart selling guns and sticking scrupulously to the letter of the law,
than the sale of guns at Guns Shows or other private venues.
Please stick to the topic,
and limit the intrusion of your fantasies and undocumented BS.

(54,770 posts)WalMart banning CDs with anti-gun lyrics. But, gun fanciers are quit good at obfuscation when it comes to protecting their access to mo gunz.
Wasn't talking about Zman's hand gun. Was talking about the tactical shotgun he was awarded after the verdict by the gun manufacturer. It darn sure was not a hunting weapon, unless one considers people prey.
