SC Politicians Owe Hundreds of Thousands in Unpaid Ethics Fines...

"Some current and former Upstate office holders owe tens of thousands of dollars each and some of the fines have remained unpaid for years.

Kim Valentin, a former Easley City Councilmember was fined by the SC Ethics Commission for failing to file required campaign paperwork on time three times, in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

After penalties and late fees, Valentin’s fine totals $18,000.00."
