People should watch for traffic when crossing a street.

That's all I have to say.

Well, that's not really all I have to say. Actually, I don't have to say anything. That reminds me of the whole, "I'm not talking to you," thing. ROFL! Yes you are!

Of course drivers should watch for pedestrians just as pedestrians should watch for drivers, regardless of the color of or lack of a light.

Ever heard the term, "look both ways before crossing a street?"

two children and an adult. Both drivers and pedestrians should follow the laws and both should also look when crossing a road. The driver has been charged as he should be.

In the Tenderloin neighborhood, the driver turned into a crosswalk and hit a mother with her 4 year old and 6 year old (the latter died.)
In the Crocker Amazon neighborhood, the driver ran a stop sign and hit and killed an elderly man.

And there was another pedestrian hit in the city overnight.

Some here apparently thinks this is fodder for cheap giggles.

...Cars are not always thinking about pedestrians.

Never assume that a car will give you the right of way.

They should, and feel free to curse them out if they don't, but never bet your life on it.
