Got some in the market yesterday

Recipe
1 Jamaican chocolate ball (If you are outside Jamaica you may need someone there to get some to you)
3 Teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (we use half and half - condensed is way too sweet for us)
1 quart water
Pinch of salt
3 cinnamon leavers or 2 cinnamon sticks

Oh my...if you like white chocolate, it's simply a heavenly cocoa. Fattening as all get-outs of course (180 calories per cup (!)), but mmmm so good. Here's a link to it from Target.com:

http://www.target.com/p/land-o-lakes-cocoa-arctic-white-1-25-oz/-/A-13473278

I found a big container of it at the evil wal-mart and bought it, but only one time; for the year previous, I could only buy individual packages at a time. They were -somewhat- reasonable at $0.50, but the big container is vastly more cost effective if you can find it.

I never had to worry about that when I lived in South Florida. It is predicted to be 8 degrees here in the Atlanta area on Tuesday morning. I am hoping that by leaving my faucets dripping will keep the pipes from freezing. They did freeze a few years ago, but fortunately did not bust.

It's not the snow or wind I'm worried about, it's the -17 temps on Monday and Tuesday night. Our furnace is 32 years old and my husband refuses to replace it until he can't get parts anymore. If the furnace gives out, we have 3 big dogs and nowhere to go.

I lived through the blizzard of '78 - I was 25 years old, by myself, in a house trailer with no heat, no water, no electricity, for 6 days. The National Guard couldn't even get to me. My cat had to live under my coat with me all that time. I never want to do that again. I'm not 25 anymore
