S.E. Cupp says Christie should resign if it is proved he's involved in lane gate.

Then, in her little fantasy, he can confidently build his 2016 presidential campaign, because come the election all will be forgotten and/or forgiven by the electorate.

Wow! Talk about delusional!

the electorate has the collective memory of gnats.

Now if he should be convicted of a crime, (not saying one was committed) he might be ordered NOT to vote or run for office ever again. S.E. careful what you wish for.

I used to think Christie had the best chance of defeating us. Now I'm kind of hoping he gets the nomination.

Individual voters are very bright people who can make decisions, But like all herd animals, once you get them in a group, collective intelligence drops... hard.

As to getting the nomination, I always say careful what you wish for. Remember that B star who ran for the WH and actually became a two term President? He had zero chances as I recall.

But I have no control over who those morons nominate. I still think this event will seriously bite Christie in his fat butt.

He has two strikes against him

1.- Northeast Pol, therefore perceived as a moderate EEEEWWWWW!!!!

And this.

2.-

I admired him actually for that, being able to put politics to the side for the time it took to solve the immediate crisis, but for tea party activists, he shook the hands of that black man in the WH. So that was going to be a problem already. So his chances went to I think his career is over. If he had not done number two, well he stuck it to the democrat, so that might buy him some street cred.

he has NO chance
secondly, if he resigns it clears the way for a host of less desirable (from GOP viewpoint) candidates to take on a Democrat.

christie will stay put, staffers will fall on their swords, case closed
