UK Express: Liberal Democrats stand on immigration is a disaster for Britain
NO PARTY in British political history has been more badly misnamed than the Liberal Democrats. For these smug, hectoring charlatans believe in neither liberty nor democracy. They are slaves to Brussels and fashionable ideology, eager to see our national identity crushed by European integration and mass immigration. Posing as the champions of progress they are in reality agents of Britain's destruction.
Liberal Democrats have sunk in their twin obsession with Europe and multicultural diversity. Through his reference to Enoch Powell, Cable is cynically trying to create a climate of fear where opponents of uncontrolled immigration are silenced through accusations of racism.
It is politics of the basest kind to pretend that anxiety about immigration is just xenophobia. How on earth is it bigoted to express regret at the demise of your own country, which is exactly what the combination of the EU and open borders is producing? The real extremists are the Liberal Democrats, hurling their vile accusations at anyone who dares challenge their agenda.
Their stance could not be less progressive. Both European integration and mass immigration are undemocratic since the British electorate never voted for either. In dis missing the public's views the Liberal Democrats again show their disdain for the very concept of the people's will.

Sounds like the UK's right wing 'populists' are getting a little upset about immigration. Sounds like a UK version of our republicans and tea partiers. Thou doth protest too much about being cast as racist and xenophobic, I think. How they all love to vilify those ol' "open borders liberals."
