if Christie doesn't admit that he was involved with this, Wildstein has a way of burying him.

No way, Christie would not take a chance and schedule his conference before Wildstein speaks without knowing 100% that Wildstein will not bury him later.

has a way of interfering with high school friendship. Wildstein's career (and career prospects) in public administration is dead and there is nothing that Christie came offer him.
