(5,330 posts)It just goes to show that she THOUGHT he'd approve.
This is his top adviser we're talking about here.
She must have been paid some serious hush-money to fall on her sword like that.

(6,262 posts)Will there be hush money? Will that be engineered by Christy's mega-bucks financier wife? A sweet job at Pox?
No reports that she has been fruitlessly contacted by press yet.

Think I'm kidding? I'm not. I'm a college teacher in NJ and a couple years ago I had a student who was a psychiatric aid in one of NJ's institutions. She told me and the rest of the class that it was routine for people to come in (usually women, btw) and the staff could immediately tell they didn't belong there.
These people were taking the fall for some political figure (usually male) who had been caught with their hands in the till. They would stay until the scandal died down, usually about six months or so. My student got the impression they'd been paid off for their time and who knows what else. It's a way to keep reporters away from them by saying their are suffering "depression" or some other type of psychological illness.

(12,608 posts)he says he doesn't know why and he never asked her and he isn't interested in knowing and not seeking a explanation That's such a bullshit lie. Your political career is on the table and YOU don't want an explanation of their actions and betrayal? WTF.
He is getting agitated.lol

(351 posts)and he hasn't even spoken to her about what happened - just took someone else's hearsay??

(12,608 posts)and wonders why Kelly would have a personal vendetta against him.
You're right Christie, she didn't have a personal vendetta against Ft Lee mayor, you did. lol

(11,175 posts)It wasn't an ordinary election campaign, though. Literally scores of elected Democrats endorsed Christie. Quite a few others either made no endorsement or gave a pro forma endorsement to Barbara Buono without lifting a finger to help her.
Under the circumstances, the absence of a formal request wasn't that big a deal. There was such a major Democrats-for-Christie movement that it was reasonable to ask, with regard to each elected Democrat, what he or she had done. A Democratic mayor wouldn't need a letter or an email to know that Christie wanted his endorsement.

(2,660 posts)I don't believe Christie at all. The only way his staff would act in such a manner is because he wanted them to do so.

(8,395 posts). . . is that she did it to curry favor with the boss. But that brings up a second question: why, then, would she not inform her boss that she had done so? If indeed she didn't let Christie know she had done it, then what would have been the point in the first place?
