It really does make a difference. AT&T, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Verizon and everyone else, upped their speeds and even lowered their prices somewhat. Amazing that.

On a normal school day, I'll get 1-2 Mbps download speeds.



I really believe the internet should be available to everybody and the government should control it, like a utility. It should be free.

we don't have the best cell service coverage here either, especially in the mountains. And it was a mess trying to get triangulation with those GPS units we used for Census mapping a few years ago. Tourists have a hard time finding their destinations around here because the GPS data gets messed up and gives them really bogus info.

rural areas you're really lucky to get 5.0 Mbps. In fact, 5.0 is lightning fast compared to what it used to be.

Seems that the internet companies supplied these numbers.
