Christie personally dropped the ball on the Race to the Top program a few years back.

He tried to blame some (I can't remember who), when that failed, he tried to blame the Teacher's union, and when that failed... he blamed his friend Bret Schundler, the acting head of the Dept. of Education... firing him.
