Actual TPot post as everyone throws Christie under the bus, but only a TPot does it like this:

Louis Filliger 56 minutes ago (Marketwatch/Capitol Hill)

As someone who considers himself a Tea Party conservative, I never much cared for Christie anyway and these events don't surprise me. He's too fat, for starters. How can someone trim a debt when they can't trim their own waistline? The great hope for conservatives is Paul Ryan, and his time will come, when the country gets sick of its entitlement mindset.

He is probably as closest to sane as a republican can get, and still be a republican. Not good at all for 'the base'.

There are a lot of white, doughy old Tea Party members out there.

when earlier this week, he signed a bill that gave in-state tuition rates to illegal immigrants. This scandal is just conveniently placed for them to use as a vehicle to dump on him.

Christie killed any possible teaparty deal when he was seen hugging the Black guy that visited him from DC, after the storm.
