TRENTON — The state Assembly is planning to make public today a huge cache of documents received as part of its subpoena for Port Authority of New York and New Jersey records pertaining to the controversial closing of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of pages will be made available to the press at some point today, an Assembly spokesman said. The initial release of some of the paperwork was the e-mails that revealed a chief aide to Gov. Chris Christie knew about the lane closings before they occurred and of the massive traffic jams the action was causing.
