Very glad to see her theory getting more media attention.
My best guess as to why the retaliation took the form of a traffic jam -- that it was viewed by Christie & Co. as "a roadblock as payback for a roadblock" -- and why the GWB would have been the preferred target because of something Loretta Weinberg had written earlier:

(9,461 posts)I think it was a state legislator. They claimed Christie said "has anyone taken a bat to this woman yet?" I believe they had a link. I'd like to figure out who that is. He is nothing but hate.

(9,461 posts)love how he claims she's a hypocrite for claiming both a pension and a salary when scores of members of his party do it. He's using hypocrisy to claim someone else is a hypocrite. Yep, definitely Republican.

(19,564 posts)She and her team did an excellent job putting two and two together on that one. It definitely makes more sense than that he was going after the mayor for not endorsing him.

(46,039 posts)They could have decided to go after Fort Lee for both this and the lack of endorsement from the mayor.

However, I do feel compelled to point out the fact that here we are freely discussing a "conspiracy theory" while accounts have been banned from posting here for discussing other theories, on different topics, that have as much potential to be correct as Rachel's theory mentioned here in this case.
Any thoughts on that EarlG?

(14,040 posts)be the truth. Especially if you parse it like some lawyers would--because the closures weren't about the Mayor but this legislator.

(5,141 posts).the only thing that doesn't make sense to me is why would they go after Fort Lee because its in Weinberg's district. What's the point unless she lives there? Wouldn't shutting down traffic Teaneck (where I think she lives) have been a clearer signal to Ms. Weinberg?
