I'm in the real estate business and I've heard it time and again how that N####r in the white house is responsible for the unemployment extension not going thru. Or whatever ails this country is directly his fault. If you have a problem with the President that's one thing but to keep calling him "That N####r in the White House sickens me. I hear it almost every day.

(50,254 posts)The next Republican presidential candidate will undoubtedly have phrases like "he's(she's)ONE OF US". "A REAL American", or other code phrases.
They know that the race card is the last card in their deck.

(28,784 posts)No one I know would ever use that word to describe him, and I guess I'm lucky my work doesn't involve having to talk to anyone who would say something like that because I would probably lose my job if I heard that come out of someone's mouth after I described what I thought about any person who could use the n word to describe anyone.

(10,745 posts)It's no secret these days that quite a bit of the hardcore opposition to Obama's policies isn't based on actual objections to said policies, but rather, unfortunately, because that said President just happens to be an African-American.....hence the cries of "Kenyan-Marxist-Mooslum" and such, not to mention all those pictures of witch doctors and monkey heads photoshopped onto his body. Yes, I'm afraid it is indeed true.....racism truly is a major driver for this extreme ire towards our current President. I don't think anyone on this site can really disagree with that, unless they're a newbie or something(and even many newbies still get it).

(16,038 posts)I work with seniors in a small town. The political mix is around 50/50 and have never heard this. I hear debates between left and right residents. ..sometimes even heated debates. ..but have never heard this spoken, though some of the Republicans likely think it. .

. I won't post again
just because some are in denial, doesn't make it not so... what people here want is how to make it better; how do we change

(5,644 posts)nationalities supporting only white people in the white house. I'm sure there had to be some discrimination/name calling on that end too, when there was no other choices to be had. This (Obama) is a new phenomena for everybody, not just whites. I'm sure people will get used to this over the years even though name calling will never grow old. It's what you do when you're disgusted with your life.
I'm thinking of all the names Bush got called over the years, LOL!
Well moving right along......
