Encountered a wingnut yesterday in an onlinegame-chat.

The match started and suddenly someone posted "Taxation is Extortion".

I thought "WTF? We are in a game and soon we will fight each other for fun! Why would somebody bring up that topic?"

Someone else chimed in "And interest on loans will bankrupt the world"

I answered: "paying taxes is part of the social contract"

Their answer: "I never signed such a contract"

Me: "You signed it implicitly by living in a society"

Them: "Very funny. How do you sign this? With an implicit magical pen?"

I thought: "WTF? I thought they have civics classes in the US. Have they never heard of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the concept of the social contract?"

At that point the serious stage of the game began and ended the discussion.

One of the wingnuts died before me and posted "Nazi scum!!!" before logging off. (I guess, it was addressed at me.)

I died shortly after this and as I didn't want to let them have the last word (and I assumed the other wingnut was still logged in), I posted this:
"If you don't want to pay taxes, fine. Please stop using anything that was paid for with taxpayer money."

"no such thing as society" from right wingers. That is basically going to create sociopaths.

willing to go it alone? Let them pay for their own security, garbage pickup, water, energy, roads, airports and fire departments and see if they can keep the masses in line. I am sure many are up to the challenge.

They must have slept through their history classes. Or do they suppose that they are really that much smarter than Marie Antoinette?

Right wingers are always out spreading the message. They consider it part of their duty. I wish the left were as motivated, but we don't have the inner bible thumper dying to get out.

Because I saw the exact same thing in chat the other night... "Taxation is extortion"

My response? "LoL - hardly. Pretty desperate if the wingnuts have to stoop to pushing their propaganda in online games..."

Others chimed in along the lines of "GTFO with that" and he stopped before he'd even started.

He was a troll, and the only thing to do with trolls is laugh and point.

I then tell them to stay off the roads payed for by taxes (recent addition thanks to Elizabeth Warren) I used the line first on my brother in law an insufferable ass who had spread his bullshit for decades. On a personal matter he had physically threatened his sister my wife then went into an unrelated Republican rant. (I also explained to him I do not make threats and gave him a choice) He chose to leave and no longer has had any contact for a decade. Use of that line works well on Tea Party types who complain about taxes.

The religious right managed to pass the Hyde Amendment which bans Medicaid from paying for abortion services, the only medical procedure prohibited under Medicaid. Henry Hyde, Republican from Illinois got a bunch of other MEN to agree with him on the religious premise that abortion is murder and they don't want their tax dollars to pay for it.
Now, war on the other hand..........................!

"If you don't want to pay taxes, fine. Please stop using anything that was paid for with taxpayer money."

I'd write

If you don't want to pay taxes, fine. But, your personal integrity requires that you stop using all tax-paid services.

"Please" is a very weak word. Make the message less easy to ignore by making it more personal and less voluntary.
