but I can see that's not the case so far.

Plant that tree in front of a window and it will always have at least one cat on it.

Looks like they loved it at first sight.

Love the great fuzzy stairway to hebbin.

What a great idea for lots of great cat adventures. Be sure to stand nonchalantly near the structure to allow them to reach out and tap your head or shoulder.

It looks like it breaks down into small pieces, which saves having to transport a big cat-tree.

after christmas they lowered the price like 1/3 and free shipping. totally worth it. the petsmart down the street has one for 100 and its half the size and not even as nice as this. took about an hour to put together. they give ya all the tools.

crazy! I call it the cat dancing pole! I tied a toy mouse to it. One of those that has the pull string that vibrates. Those are pretty much worthless unless you hang them up somewhere. Then cats love playing with them. The pull on it and it snaps back when the let go and buzz.

I've bought four of these in the past year.

The key is to purchase only Amerikat cat trees - the rest are junk and are demolished easily.

I tried the cheap ones, and had to go back to Amerikat.

I don't think she will be a very big cat but she really gets rough with things. She's on top, upside down, circling around the post like a squirrle tearing up that mouse! So far that, a box and a lazer light seem to be all I need to keep her wound up and having fun!

But it looks like they have taken to the cat tree very quickly

. . .but kitties will love you!

Book marked it and am looking at getting this http://www.hayneedle.com/product/trixiepetproductsnatanieladjustablecattree.cfm

As long as it's returnable, don't think hubby will have a problem with it. Just have to make sure it "goes" with the furniture because I have a feeling it'll be with us for a long long time!

Thanks so much.

And they hardly use it. We also moved to a new place, and that's where they first had contact with it. I have been really disappointed that they don't take any interest in it. Perhaps with more time. Sometimes they sleep on it. Maybe the boxes remind them too much of the kitty carrier they came over in. LOL!

cats had no interest. We ended up wrapping the entire thing with brown kraft paper (butcher's paper) and left a small opening at the bottom and cut a couple X-slits here and there for peekaboos... and lo and behold, it was suddenly the most interesting place in the world. Over time, we slowly pulled some of the paper back and in time it has all been removed. (over about a month)

Not that it will work for ya, but was fun for us to discover a solution.

It looks like they got two toys, the box and the cat condo.
Whenever we get a new cat condo, they destroy the dangling toys the first day, then they work on the rest of it.

That's a nice one, about how much was it?

Beautiful cats too.

But seriously, your furry purry pals should rub up against you and purr contentedly in thanks for this new addition to the house. Leave the boxes around, if you can; they l-o-v-e playing in those too.
