in the wrong-doings of others. Are they a bunch of ignorant, selfish sociopaths? Probably. The staffers around Christie, whose extreme hubris, made them think that they had godly powers to punish those, whom they deemed unworthy, has turned out to be a hell of their own making. They have destroyed themselves, their reputations, and brought great dishonor to their families. How can they ever show their faces in public in NJ ever again? But to take delight in their downfall seems to me to put one's self at their level. My hope is that we are better people than that.

There is no joy in Mudville. Mighty Christie has struck out.

But rather than take joy in their downfall, why not change your point of view to hoping that they actually learn something beneficial to themselves, their families, and to the larger community. Why not hold the attitude that their downfall is an opportunity for them to come out the other side as a better, more compassionate person. It doesn't cost you anything to switch to such a view. But to relish in glee at someone's downfall? No thanks, that's not for me.

Friday's show to say she believed him. And JOe snarked about Donny Deutch's suit when Donny had the nerve to disagree with him. Nobody else on the show believed Christie had told the truth at Thursday's presser. Joe and Mika will still be on their high horses Monday but it won't be for long. What I got on Friday was sure was more proof that Joe Scum throws out the ReTHUG talking points - it was Obama Benghazi and the IRS and every ReTHUG has been trying (without success) to push that line.

The size and scope of the master bully's scandal has not helped them.

The Assembly will meet in special session Thursday to decide whether to re-authorize its subpoena power so its investigation of the George Washington Bridge lane closing scandal can continue, Speaker-elect Vincent Prieto said this morning.

Prieto (D-Hudson), who will be sworn in as Speaker on Tuesday, said the special session has been called to consider legislation reauthorizing subpoena power, which has already turned up explosive e-mails and text messages linking Gov. Chris Christie's administration to the September lane closures.

“The documents released this week related to the George Washington Bridge situation clearly show the need for a continued thorough investigation by the New Jersey General Assembly,” Prieto said in a statement this morning.

Add to that, an e-mail in yesterday's release of documents shows a key e-mail from Patrick Foye to Bill Barone was forwarded to the woman who is slated to become Christie's new chief of staff which means the knowledge of the scandal is coming closer and closer to Christie and makes his protestations of innocence even more unbelievable (if that's even possible).
