"I thought he did an excellent job," McCain said on CNN's "State of the Union" about Christie's performance at his Thursday press conference. "I think that he can now move on as long as another shoe doesn't drop."
McCain on Thursday morning said that Christie needed to answer every question about the lane closures in order to move past the escalating scandal, and McCain on Sunday said the New Jersey governor did just that.
McCain, who pegged the governor as a potential 2016 frontrunner, said he is a "great admirer of Christie." He added, though, that Christie should have been aware of the actions of his senior aides.
"He should have known," McCain said.
ummm, I'm pretty sure he did

(12,041 posts)Sorry McCain, Christie won't be ready to move on until after his impeachment. Maybe there will be a trial, conviction and prison time as well, if that is the case then he won't be moving on until he serves his sentence. Sorry McCain I know you wish we would just accept the lies that are told to us and drop the issue, but a press conference does not to jack shit to redeem this asshole.

(46,705 posts)Christie knew. That means we have two hours of him lying about his involvement.
That will make for a great political advertisement.
Just my impressions.

(61,695 posts)He said all the right things, acted sad and offended, fired people, and lied his fuggin ass off.
And McCain and others are fuggin stupid to believe him, or incredibly evil to support him.
