They put them on shows and they eventually move up to their own show. Not sure Maria would like a daily show however.

On a lower wage. It is difficult to feed and cloth their children, many have not completed high school. They may have started their families too early. I think this is a worthy cause. I hope it gets traction.

I think she is okay but I would rather see this guy get a spot:

I am still smoldering over Bashir's leaving. MSNBC has really gone downhill since the Comcast merger with NBC. Keith Olbermann called that one correctly.

She's more of a "Special Report" or a topic-based morning show "correspondent."

I don't see her getting into "opinion" news, not like that.

If CH is replaced, it's not going to be Maria. She lives on the west coast, her kids are out there, and she stands to get a few hundred million when she dumps that cheatin' dork so she's not going to need pin money -- and that's probably going to happen fairly soon, as Arnie has given up and fired up a new relationship with some idiot who is impressed by his massive...bank account.

Last year they announced she was returning as a "special correspondent."

Nearly a decade after she left NBC, Maria Shriver is returning to it as a “special anchor,” covering women’s issues for television and the Web.

The announcement, made on the “Today” show on Tuesday morning, is a significant moment in Ms. Shriver’s move away from political life. Ms. Shriver, a member of the Kennedy family, was the first lady of California while her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was governor from 2003 to 2011. She and Mr. Schwarzenegger separated in 2011 after he admitted that he had fathered a child with a member of their household staff a decade earlier.

Until Mr. Schwarzenegger ran for governor, Ms. Shriver was a familiar face on NBC as a correspondent on the network newsmagazine “Dateline.” Her formal homecoming was foreshadowed last month when she contributed to NBC’s coverage of the selection of the new pope.
