Freedom Industries was founded in 1992 by Gary Southern, and Carl L. Kennedy II.[1][2] On December 31, 2013, Freedom Industries merged with three other companies, Etowah River Terminal, Poca Blending, and Crete Technologies.[1][2] Southern remains as president of the newly formed company.[1] The company distributes chemicals used in coal mining[1] and is a distributor for Georgia-Pacific.[3] Georgia-Pacific is in turn owned by Koch Industries.[4]

Anyone shocked?

It probably started in Poca. Poca at one point had a high school, their mascots was The Dots.

Just some local knowledge from my WV relatives.

There could be a major highway between Richmond and Cincinnati if they employed all of the people and equipment that usually top off mountains to stripmine.

And the Koch assholes pretty much control oil refining throughout Alaska, as well. Their plant here in the Interior has already contaminated the small town of North Pole's main water supply with sulfolane (see http://dec.alaska.gov/spar/csp/sites/north-pole-refinery/ ) Scary, hmmm? But the Kotch Crotches have it knocked - a huge "in" with the repukes here and everywhere!

Glad you're here! So sorry about the malignancy in Alaska - that beautiful natural treasure that these bastards think nothing of trashing. Guaranteed the koch brothers live safely far far away. Certainly don't wanna be gettin' their own hands dirty!

see, this is how it works. We'll be so outraged by the spill, we'll stop buying any coal and the company will succumb to the pressures of the free market and self regulate... Riiiiiiight... then there's that bridge in NJ, the joke, as always, is on us.
