Looks Like No One To Vote For When Trade Agreements Considered

Reagan Bush began the trade negotiations that led to NAFTA. Clinton ran against NAFTA and then sided with Gingrich and forced its passage by hammering Democrats to support it. Clinton also supported "favored nation status for China". And we are seeing how that worked out. They lost Congress after 40 years. Clinton helped on a number of GOP initiatives of which Telecom 1996 was one big one. Then we got Bush and he essentially started the TPP trade talks. Obama essentially implied he was against NAFTA and was for a new beginning. Now we have Obama favoring fast track and passage of TPP. And there are a number of Dems who support that. And these agreements have been essentially GOP and big business ideas.

So you wonder if there is anyone to vote for that cares about the US. We are becoming a 3rd class nation and building Asia and China at our own expense. So what is there to defend when your country being sold out from under you.

The Clinton and Obama bipartisanship has really worked. I will never understand how cooperating with the enemy is ever a good idea. Looks like the voters are screwed either way.

We have a generation of politicians who are more concerned about keeping their cushy job than doing what is right for the citizenry. There is a difference between Democrats and GOPPERS but that difference seems to disappear more all the time.
