This is a pretty good indication how fearful the middle is, already.

His policy positions are a mixed bag for me. But the faxes have gone out, and he's under full attack tonight. That in itself makes him a more compelling potential candidate to me.

attacked, not surprised by whom btw, is producing the same reaction I had to Clinton who I also didn't know much about or anything else back then re politics, when the Right Wing went after him too. I and millions of others automatically defended him. Didn't really know much about his policies until later.

Lol, it really is a sign though of how scared they are of losing the votes of those they despise the most and never need, until election time, Progressive Dems. I guess they finally got the message as more and more former loyal Dems are not going to support their Corporate Candidates anymore.
