Worsening Conditions In Iraq Shows How Pointless The Iraq War Was.

We seem to have accomplished nothing with the war in Iraq except lost lives and squandering trillions of dollars. And Bush has never paid any kind of price for his criminal activity. And what have the vets got, homelessness, low paying jobs or unemployment. These war vets are as forgotten as Vietnam vets were.

The GOP will blame Obama for pulling out of a war that should have never been. And given power the GOP will want to send troops back in to fight the terrorists who have now taken over places like Falluja.

Mission Accomplished.

... telling everybody "I fucking told you so!"

Wrote an LTTE to three different papers. Posted it all over Facebook. Said it to a couple of neighbors. Said it to an in-law.

I will never let them forget this. The deaths of my brother Marines, and the soldiers and sailors... the traumatic brain injuries... the amputations... the horrible burns... the dead Iraqi innocents... the birth defects from DU... the whole fucking thing.

I am being an asshole about this...

it is sickening.. and no justice. No one prosecuted for war crimes, or war profit.

"The violence began when the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al Maliki, forced a year-old, nonviolent protest camp in Fallujah to disperse. The Iraqi government has since bombed Fallujah with American-bought Hellfire Missiles, a weapon system that is believed to contain uranium and could cause indiscriminate public health effects."

there is an incredible amount of horrific birth defects in Fallujah and surround areas already from Depleted Uranium from US missiles.
women pray they aren't pregnant because of the birth defects.

“The Iraqi government has been bombing Fallujah with weapons sold to them by the US government. Already over 100 civilians have been killed. Furthermore, one of the weapon systems that the Iraqi government is reported to be using is the Hellfire missile. This is one of the weapons that is believed to have contributed to the health crisis in Fallujah back in 2004.”

Sami Rasouli always said “the Americans should leave Iraq and they should take their weapons with them.” It was very clear to him that more weapons in Iraq would only increase the violence.

While the government attacks may have abated somewhat, it appears that the U.S. weapons sales will go forward. Thus, in addition to signing the petition, I am encouraging you to call and/or write your elected representatives and tell them to do whatever they can to stop more U.S. weapons from going into Iraq.

will try to blame the Democrats for this (who lost Iraq?). I can see the narrative beginning now. If we are struck by some terrorist originating from Iraq, it could make life very difficult for the Democratic nominee in 2016.

Their wars are not our wars. The US is pretty much oil independent. Let them soil their own nest.

They don't want our help.

War is when two or more armies of EQUAL strength engage each other. That is why I call it like I see it. An invasion and occupation.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H.L. Mencken
