HHS rules require birth control pills to be provided with no co pay.

http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/health-reform-implementation/216485-white-house-says-colleges-must-cover-birth-control-for-students

"The Health and Human Services Department said student health plans will be treated like employees’ plans, meaning they will have to comply with new requirements under healthcare reform — including the requirement to provide contraception without charging a copay."

So why don't they require no co-pays for more important drugs that keep people alive?

Many women could die of ovarian cysts and some forms of ovarian cancer if they didn't have The Pill.

P.S. In addition, limited the number of births a woman is forced to have also saves many women's lives. Women STILL die in child birth, you know.

And what about keeping men alive? Why aren't cancer drugs on the list of no co pays?

are $4 at Wal-mart, without insurance. If BC had been that cheap there wouldn't be a need to force this.

Plus different states have different plans. When I lived in NY, there was a nominal co-pay but no deductible. Here in Florida (both husband's private and mine public), there not only were co-pays but a $450 deductible for scripts. You have to being taking drugs on a regular basis to meet that deductible. If you need just antibiolitics every now and then, good luck. You will be paying for ALL your meds.

Stop whining. The no co-pay is fair compensation for the fact that FOR DECADES they weren't covered by many insurance plans at all.

Why are you on DU? All you do is attack liberal causes.
