Ah, jeez, that damned woman will be the death of the Democratic Party

Know what she said tonight at a talk in New York City?

Q: Who does our government really work for?
A: Answer right now is a sad one. But we're going to change that.

What next? What next? Taxing the Job Creators at the same rate as the Little People? No sensible, common-sense cuts to Social Security? Making bankers actually follow the rules? Restoring cuts to food stamps and unemployment benefits? Handing Republicans their asses on a serving dish, flambeed and sauced with a delightful mango-balsamic reduction?

@#$%. She's ruining it. She's ruining everything.

Regards,

Third-Way Manny

The RW "Obama is the liberal's Messiah" meme was created when he was a candidate in 2008, not 2012.

The fact that 4 years later, Newsweek used the meme, is irrelevant to how the RW came up with that meme.

Bottom line: The OP has become that which he railed against. Just doesn't seem to know it yet.

The right wing throws an incredible amount of rhetoric around, anything that remotely looks like sticking will be repeated endlessly.

I learned my lesson with Bubba, last ditch defense of politicians is not something I do any more.

And if anyone was treated like a Messiah it was Dubya after 9/11, I'm a proud 10%er and watching that particular display was really disturbing when you weren't part of it. Sort of like being the only sober person in a convention of delusional drunks.

Like 90% of what Republicans do, their accusations of Messiah against Obama are projection, pure and simple.

Which came first? I'm not sure, but that doesn't make it untrue. Just look in the BOG.

Particularly if you were running in a state where Japan had encroached upon the earnings potential of the region; e.g. a location where a US car manufacturer was up against Toyota or what-have-you.

Opposition research, when done properly, endeavors to make any and every possible anamoly a negative. Since most American people don't "live in Japan," (I did, for quite a few years, a few decades ago--but I am not a typical American) you would, as a candidate, be painted as an "other," an "outsider" and a person who doesn't understand the issues facing "the regular people" in the community where you were running. "While ART was off huntin' endangered whales for his meals of bloody raw fish, the rest of us were (fill in the blank)"...."While Art was baskin' in the glow of that damn nuclear reactor, the rest of us were (blah blah blah)."

It's easy to go negative. Doesn't have to be true, doesn't have to be salient (see OBAMA, Kenya, and Birth Certificate if you don't believe me). And it's often the first instinct, particularly if the candidate is unknown or has a lot of blanks just waiting to be filled in. First impressions are, after all, lasting.

Elizabeth Warren, a fearless consumer advocate who has made her life's work the fight for middle class families, was elected to the United States Senate on November 6, 2012, by the people of Massachusetts.

Elizabeth is recognized as one of the nation's top experts on bankruptcy and the financial pressures facing middle class families, and the Boston Globe has called her "the plainspoken voice of people getting crushed by so many predatory lenders and under regulated banks."

She is widely credited for the original thinking, political courage, and relentless persistence that led to the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. President Obama asked her to set up the new agency to hold Wall Street banks and other financial institutions accountable, and to protect consumers from financial tricks and traps often hidden in mortgages, credit cards and other financial products.

In the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, Warren served as Chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Her independent and tireless efforts to protect taxpayers, to hold Wall Street accountable, and to ensure tough oversight of both the Bush and Obama Administrations won praise from both sides of the aisle. The Boston Globe named Elizabeth Warren Bostonian of the Year and TIME Magazine called her a "New Sheriff of Wall Street" for her oversight efforts.

During her campaign for the Senate, Elizabeth promised to fight for middle class families and to make sure that everyone has a fair shot to get ahead. She called for policies that would level the regulatory playing field for small businesses and ensure that everyone - even large and powerful corporations - pays a fair share in taxes and is held accountable for breaking the law.

http://www.warren.senate.gov/?p=about_senator

She is amazing, her focus is on the middle class and holding Wall Street banks and other financial institutions accountable She is going to make history in the Senate. It is her destiny! She can focus...FOCUS on these two issues. Why some wish her to waiver on her strengths is beyond me.

Hey Manny she already did do run run. Guess what she won! She is in a place that she will exceed our expectations. Sad that you always wish she leave.

Literally the ad I was forced to see before that epic video.

No, it's not funny no more. But politics fucking sucks.

When will you realize American political reality and stop posting BS, Manny?

I don't think you're stupid. But I do think you get a kick out of being disingenuous. It works, it's fun, it's hilarious, but shit, it sucks for everyone.

I thought this was a post about that mega-super pac backing Hillary, and I came over to agree with you.

I prefer Biden-Warren, though, then eight years later Warren.

62. She doesn't have the charisma necessary.

Jan 2014

She can't give big flowery speeches. She caters to smart people. Her thoughts do not make good fifteen second sound bites. She is too far left. People with the attention span of gnats don't like her. How do you think she will look on a beach in a bikini. She cares about the poor and income inequality.

Some people don't think of these important factors when it comes to whom they support. We need to remove her from the party. She is a threat to what the last five presidents have worked so hard for. She is a clear danger to that which is so important to us.

I know this Hillary supporter will be 100% behind Warren in the primary. I think it would be great for the party to have Hillary go against Warren.

Our last two Democrat presidents have been sellouts and- as corrupt as government is now- I don't see that changing.
I'll write in Edward Snowden for potus.
And then I'll write you thoughtful letters from Guantanamo (heavily redacted, of course).

Nothing I wrote could be interpreted as me asking you to support HRC in any way at all. No need to apologize to me for something I never asked of you in the first place. Very strange post you have there. The more I read of your post the less sense it makes. HRC/Snowden/Guantanamo? Hmmmmm.

Warren 2016. Although as a Senator, she can affect the outcome of many piece of legislation, in our favor, vs as POTUS, she would be limited by the Teathugs, rethugs and generally sexist, racist idiots in our government from doing just about anything positive for the 99%ers.

Fri Jan 24, 2014, 04:44 PM
Jan 2014

And that most certainly includes the Clintons. These types trend liberal on social issues but are in deep with crony capitalism otherwise.

I knew which way Obama was going when right pout the gate he brought in Rubin and Larry Summers. What a scam those in and out of Wall Street guys run, pass laws favoring huge profits for banksters when in government, then scoot back to Wall Street to profit from those loosened rules.

It's the big con and why despite fraud on a massive scale, not only did no real big shot see jail, we had to bail them out, Nice job Eric Holder.
