are you perceiving some racism, just because Davis was black? It has nothing to do with that, why would it? Stern isn't black, it's about celebrities and corrupt politicians.

I've been up all night and my mind is fried. Maybe it's me that needs to back out. I just think it's a really bad analogy.

Down thread somebody posted about Sammy Davis Jr getting an economic appointment from Nixon.

I'm a Rat Pack fan, so I don't care who Davis hugged.

and it's sad that Sinatra, liberal and big time Kennedy supporter turned to the GOP and especially Nixon.
Davis accepting a PR appointment is more the shame.

and while I thought this whole episode embarrassing for the Rat Pack, I didn't stop enjoying their performances.
I just thought it was a little funny and a shout back to us oldsters who remember.
Not meant as a big deal.

i think it's a fair deal, Nixon is force from office but he gets a hug from Sammy Davis Jr. Investigate the hell out of Christie, impeach him, whatever, but he gets to go to Howard Stern's birthday party.

And that's a good thing

I assume the 'hug' photo was taken at the following reception and Sammy had let his hair down. Moody Richard is still wearing the same bad tie.
