was on The Daily Rundown this morning and she was upset about the TPA and spoke well about why.
She stated that it is the job of the House to make and ratify trade agreements and they were given NO part of this agreement, and she is not willing to have the responsibility of the House taken away by the President and whoever else penned the act....And she's po'd about NAFTA losing so many (millions) of manufacturing jobs.
I tried to post the link but my MSNBC site isn't working right - she's worth watching if you can get to it....
There used to be a website where petitions were floated for anyone to sign - nothing up about opposing the TPA?

(10,044 posts)Her complaint is that the TPA is a done deal, already decided, and not one word was approved by House. They want a done deal, no amendments, no input by anyone.
The Constitution is being ignored in this case. That's why she's so mad.
I enjoyed her remarks today..
Chuck Todd said something the effect that everyone for it had spoken and now he was giving her a chance to give the other side. I sort of read his approval of her opinion.

(114,904 posts)Are you thinking of Change.org?
And for now, the tpa is dead in the water because Reid has said he'll block fast track.

(10,044 posts)It's been a couple of years, but I know I signed petitions somewhere, and they were HUGE...can't recall what for..
Wouldn't hurt to start one because Reid might want a show of support when the moneychangers put pressure on....
