Dirty Money Turned The Jefferson County School Board Over To Religious Zealots.

Dirty and secret money turned one of our largest school boards over to the religious zealots recently. They are pissed because they want to probably make the Bible the central focus of education. They secretly hired and attorney and try to hold secret meetings so the public does not know what they are up to.

The just essentially fired a superintendent so they can probably hire a super religious nut to run our public schools in this county. They are just plain evil people who have an agenda. Big money bought this last election. Be ready the religious nuts are coming to a school near you next.

County went for Obama, but wing nuts won the county school board in an off year election. I live in Jeffco and I am unnerved by the superintendent's sudden resignation after veiled threats.

And I must say there is more to this story.

For one thing, and I hate to say it, but my analysis is that Democrats are somewhat to blame for the take-over of the Jefferson County, Colorado school board by the right-wingers. It was the Democrats who pushed Amendment 66 on the November 2013 ballot -- a large tax increase for education.

This bought-out the anti-tax side strongly and in an odd-numbered year election the turnout of this bunch was always going to be bigger than in a normal election year. This bunch of conservative voters consequently put very conservative candidates on a number of school boards.

It was a major miscalculation by Colorado Democrats.
And the pro-Amendment 66 campaign had far, far more money that the anti-tax side -- so that is not the reason.

5. conservatives seem to be infitrating school boards successfully= around here teabaggers but

they are not elections as watched as reps or mayors etc. and the snakes slink in to place on the boards
Plus those who have no school involvement do not realize what hard cores are grouping in place
School is an deal place to get their BS , whatever flavor it may be spread, indoctrination for an upcoming generation
