I'm now an official fan of the US Women's hockey team

I used to play hockey (I tell my wife that's where I learned my social skills) so I feel like I know a thing or two about the game. Anyway, just as I came in the house from working outside the US Women's hockey team's first game was on. They absolutely dominated the Finnish team with speed, great passing, great skating, great stickhandling, and all around spectacular teamwork. I had intended to only watch a little bit of it, but just couldn't pull myself away. Those women are good!!!

I think it's sort of like where the US Dream Team was in relation to the rest of the world in basketball 20 years ago. However, when the US and Canadian women's teams play against each other, they can get a little old time hockey going. They don't like each other on the ice.

of athletes currently engaged in international competition. (And I say that as one who kind of likes hockey and could not give a flying fuck about soccer.)
