Jackpine Update # 2

Hey everyone, I'm up & out, discharged early this afternoon. I'll be on a heavy medication protocol with lot of followup visits etc., but no angiogram, no stents, no surgery. Thanks to all for your much-appreciated support.

I did not have the emotional or physical resources to respond to all who posted on previous threads, but I want everyone to know how important and how valued all the good wishes, thoughts and prayers, expressions of concern, and commentary in general on the posts in those 2 threads are to me.

I most humbly and gratefully thank you all for your compassion, your caring, your humor--in short, for being the people you are.

Jackpine

He came into the office on an emergency basis & did some temporary work. She's not really done with the mess yet, but i much more comfortable than she was Friday night & Saturday.

I meant to report on her in the OP, but my dementia ate my intention, so I'm glad you jogged me to do so.

And thanks so much for your thoughts.

(Prayers, well-wishes, good vibes, positive visualizations and cash are also gratefully accepted.)

((Just kidding about the cash, BTW. If anybody sent me any, I'd find a way to donate it for food or LP gas or something like that for the people who are truly on the bottom. and economically hurting during this long, terrible Fimbulwinter.))

from what i just read it sounds like it was your heart. going in tuesday for another scope to see if i need a stent. the doctors didn't have time to poke around last year when i had my cardiac arrest. shit that`s been a year ago this month....

take it easy and get back to your old self...or is that your new self? we got a couple of elections that need our help.

You couldn't take many more Januarys.

Medical management does as well as a stent in many cases. They're now using stents in patients they would have rushed into bypass operations just 10 years ago and medically managing people they would have rushed into stenting. Finally it's going the right way, minimally invasive.

You'll be taking so many pills you'll rattle when you walk. I sympathize, I've been doing that for years for different problems.

Forgive my hyperbole...but, went through this with someone close to me..with a heart Bypass...and that's what we said...and he said...on RELEASE!

I am so GLAD you are "FREE AT LAST"....and I know that you will do Follow Up..so am comfortable with that.

I had Colon Operation for Cancer Cells...(just saying) awhile back...so that's why I'm Euphoric. I'm STILL HERE (and going strong) and couldn't wait to get out of that Hospital!

Keep on keeping on and best wishes for your wife too!

I'm struggling to find anyone who has had a great 2014, but I think so far you have had it the worst.

Take care, my friend. I think I'll actually be free for Bob Fest this year and can't wait to see you there (if not before).
