The Oregon Coast Aquarium invites its visitors to share their Valentines Day memories at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, “sealed” with a whiskery kiss. The Aquarium’s seals and sea lions will pucker up for special affectionate encounters in honor of Valentine’s Day on February 14, 15 and 16.
Visitors will delight in the one-of-a-kind thrill of being kissed by such charismatic animals! Sea lion smooches and seal kisses are serious business for these Aquarium’s residents!
The Aquarium constantly strives to keep the animals in tip-top shape, both physically and mentally. This includes developing training programs so the animals learn new behaviors throughout their lives as a form of enrichment. Training the seals and sea lions to kiss visitors is just a small part of the behavioral regimen that adds a new dimension to these animals’ role as ambassadors for their species.
